Plan your robotic coffee business

Build a coffee business around automated preparation and a menu people want to return for. SENS RoboCafé combines robotic service with specialty coffee, fresh milk drinks, matcha and hot chocolate. It offers a way to serve drinks without staffing a barista at the machine for every order, while keeping cleaning, restocking and maintenance part of a clear operating plan.

Whether you already operate a venue or are exploring your first coffee business, the starting point is the same: understand the location, the equipment package and who will manage daily operations.

Start with the drinks

Automation is only part of the experience. Guests choose a drink because of its taste, ingredients and convenience. The SENS menu includes espresso, Americano, cappuccino, latte and flat white, alongside matcha and hot chocolate options. Fresh milk and specialty coffee are central to the product.

During your consultation, review the proposed menu, ingredient supply and available configuration for your market. Confirm the final drink range before planning signage or promoting a location.

Choose how you will operate

With the owner-operator model, you manage the day-to-day business. SENS provides its platform, software, product system and support. Your plan should include restocking, cleaning, supplies, service access and responsibility for repairs.

With fully managed ownership, SENS handles day-to-day operations under an agreed arrangement. This is a different operating commitment, with its own commercial terms and market availability. Compare the responsibilities and costs of both models before deciding.

Check the location before selecting the package

A busy building is not automatically a good coffee location. Look at when people pass the proposed position, whether they can easily stop, competing coffee options and the hours they can access the kiosk.

Installation planning also needs space for servicing, suitable electrical connections, ingredient storage and a practical water arrangement. SENS describes both tank-based and direct-plumbing options; the selected configuration and approved installation sheet should determine your site's requirements.

Understand the full cost of ownership

Request a written equipment and services proposal. Ask what is included in delivery, installation, commissioning, training and ongoing support, and identify any separate charges.

Your operating budget should also account for ingredients, packaging, payment processing, location costs, cleaning, maintenance and applicable SENS fees. Financing, if available and approved, changes monthly cash flow. A useful comparison considers the whole business rather than the equipment price alone.

Questions buyers ask

Is the kiosk completely free of labor?

No. Drink preparation is automated, but the business still needs cleaning, replenishment, checks and service. The ownership model determines who performs that work.

Can I buy a kiosk without an existing location?

Tell SENS your target market and preferred ownership model. Discuss location support and responsibilities before committing to a purchase.

Can I see the system before deciding?

Ask about an available demonstration or operating-site visit. Confirm the arrangements and hours with the team.

Plan your next step

Share your city, whether you have a location and how involved you want to be. SENS can use that information to discuss the appropriate package and next steps.

Compare the ownership agreement

Equipment, management and franchise arrangements carry different responsibilities. Read the buyer’s questions about robotic coffee franchises before comparing proposals.
